Compassion Ministries
As we read the Bible, we believe that God’s heart is biased towards the poor and the oppressed. The life Jesus invites us into is not just spiritual but should have a practical impact on the world around us as well. We want to be a church that love and serve the most vulnerable in our city regardless of their background.
Everybody, no matter where they are with Jesus, has something significant to give and so we want to create as many ways as possible for people to be involved.
Cleaning Teams
Twice a month we send a team into a local homeless shelter to serve the staff and clients by doing a deep clean. The shelter is open from 10am to 9pm providing hot meals, showers, clean clothes and a place to hang out for those in our city who are homeless. The staff there work tirelessly to serve some of the most vulnerable in our city and by cleaning we are able to give them a break and serve them as they serve others.
We have two separate teams, a Tuesday team and a Thursday team. The commitment is once a month for a year. Richie Cathcart is the ministry leader here. You can contact the Vineyard Centre and we will forward your details onto him.
Storehouse
Storehouse is a project providing emergency food parcels for families all across our city who are struggling, for whatever reason, to get by. There are currently approximately 40 families being feed per week. Food is given by both the Belfast City Vineyard church family and an ever growing number of partnering churches. The food is distributed through partnering charities all across the city.
You can get involved by bag packing at the warehouse on Thursdays, 10am – 12noon.
The warehouse address is Unit 4 Kilwee Industrial Estate, Dunmurry.
You can bring non-perishable food items to our Sunday morning services and drop them off at the storehouse trolley for collection.

Healing on the Streets
Every Saturday our team of trained individuals gather in the centre of Belfast to pray for healing for anyone who is in need. We believe that Jesus came to restore life, and he demonstrated this by healing people and setting them free from their sicknesses and oppression. We have been seeing some amazing healings and will continue to press into this to see more.
