Discipleship And Pastoral Care
One of the roles God has given Belfast City Vineyard is a place where we can come and get healed up from our past hurts acquired by the sin committed against us and the sin that we have committed against others. We have specific environments designed to provide places for this type of healing in our lives, where people are being set free from addiction, unforgiveness, fear, and hopelessness and pointed to a relationship with Jesus that is life-changing and healthy.
Life Groups
Life groups meet weekly in various homes and venues across Belfast and surrounding areas. Alongside the large group gatherings on Sunday, these provide a place to really know and be known by others. Highly relational and fun, with worship, sharing, prayer ministry and plenty of food, this is the place where we grow as we live life with others in a more intimate setting.

Gospel of Wholeness
Gospel of Wholeness is a one to one course designed to help individuals form a relationship with Jesus that is really close, personal and foundational. We have been trained to think that in order to get close to God, we must first obey him, then depend on him, then one day, we will be close to Him. God’s heart for us is the opposite. As a loving Father, He wants us to first experience His love, then begin to depend on Him, and out of this comes a real desire to obey Him. Individuals will be assigned a coach who they will meet with over a space of 6 – 10 weeks where there will be weekly teaching and homework.
For more information, you can contact Wes Patterson by emailing wes@belfastcityvineyard.com or contact the Vineyard CentreDiscovering Community
This is a 9 week course exploring what it means to have an intimate, life-changing relationship with God and how we are to relate to the world around us as mature followers of Jesus. The weekly topics are presented in a short talk, and then discussed in small groups. It's a great place to meet new people and relate to one another on a personal level in a relaxed coffee shop setting, forming lasting relationships. From how to spend time with Jesus to how to have a relationship with the Holy Spirit, to how to forgive from the heart to what is and how do we worship God? Generosity & Giving, Serving & Compassion, Evangelism and Community
The next run of our Discovering Community is due to start on 22nd August 2011 and will run on Monday evenings until 17th October at the Oasis Cafe, Castlereagh Street, Belfast. You can book a place by emailing info@belfastcityvineyard.com or by using a response card in our Sunday services and you will receive further details.
Extended Prayer Ministry
One of the benchmarks of Jesus’ ministry was praying for others on a regular basis with compassion and effect. He trained His followers to do the same which is why we want to be a community of people that learn to pray for people with the same compassion and effect. We offer prayer ministry time on Sundays, in homegroups and at each of our courses. Sometimes there is the need to have extended prayer ministry times.
If you would like to know more about this you can contact Wes Patterson by emailing wes@belfastcityvineyard.com or contact the Vineyard Centre.
grow
grow is a space for anyone aged 18-25 to come and be part of a bunch of people wrestling with Jesus and with each other. At the Vineyard, we think that following Jesus was never meant to be done alone and that each of us adds something significant into the mix, so regardless of your story you're so welcome to come along for the ride. We'll grab a meal together (free or a pound, whichever you can afford) and spend some time thinking through some of the challenges of actually living the kind of lives God intended for us.
