Serving

If you have spent any time with us, you find that we put a high value on serving one another. We believe ‘everyone gets to play’. Serving benefits the individual by keeping your faith alive, discovering and using your spiritual gifts, having the opportunity to participate and develop relationships, feeling like you belong.

There are lots of areas where you can serve at Belfast City Vineyard.

Welcome Teams

The welcome teams are on a monthly rota and are divided up into 4 teams. This is the team responsible for creating an environment of extravagant welcome. They are always thinking back to what it was like walking through our doors for the first time and want to remove those barriers. Or when they bring a visitor with them, what are the things that might threaten how they feel. If you are the networker in a crowd, or wanted to be air steward at some stage in your life, you might fit on a welcome team.

For more information on welcome teams you can contact Selwan Tang Walsh by emailing selwan@belfastcityvineyard.com or contact the Vineyard Centre.

Coffee Teams

The coffee teams are also on a monthly rota and are also divided up into 4 teams. If you love coffee, you’ll love being part of this team. We brew quality, fair trade coffee, serve delicious doughnuts and a proper cup of tea! The teams are divided up into fun roles; coffee captain, coffee first mate, man on deck 1 & 2 and the skipper! This is a practical way to serve and also a great way of meeting people on a Sunday morning. If you thrive on speeding up long queues and spring to the rescue when you see a spill, there is a space on a coffee team with your name on it!

Susan Harrison is the coffee co-ordinator. For more information you can contact Selwan Tang Walsh by emailing selwan@belfastcityvineyard.com or contact the Vineyard Centre and she will introduce you to Susan.

Set Up Teams

Our set up teams are access all areas and turn a school around to a church every Sunday morning within one hour (set up) and have 45 minutes to put it all back together again (take down) before locking up the doors to go home for lunch! If you have an eye for detail, are task orientated and shiver at the sight of clutter, the set up teams have room to expand for you.

Billy Stothers is our set up co-ordinator and we have 4 great teams who currently serve twice a month doing either a set up and a take down, or 2 set ups or 2 take downs.  For more information you can contact Selwan Tang Walsh by emailing selwan@belfastcityvineyard.com or contact the Vineyard Centre and she will introduce you to the set up team leaders.

Visuals Team

If you are a Mac geek and see before you hear, you should join this team. They set up the projectors and screens, manage the visual displays each Sunday and work well under pressure. In appreciation of the art of slick and the power of technology, they have a great attitude for excellence in production.

For more information you can contact Selwan Tang Walsh by emailing selwan@belfastcityvineyard.com or contact the Vineyard Centre

Sound Team

This team is in charge of running the PA for our Sunday services. Being part of this team requires initiative, professionalism and some technical ability. (We will train, however, so a willingness to learn is all that’s needed.)

For more information you can contact Harmony Smith by emailing harmony@belfastcityvineyard.com or contact the Vineyard Centre.

Prayer Ministry Team

One of the benchmarks of Jesus’ ministry was praying for others on a regular basis with compassion and effect. He trained His followers to do the same which is why we want to be a community of people that learn to pray for people with the same compassion and effect. This teams serves every Sunday by coming up to the front and praying for anyone who wants to receive ministry. We offer prayer ministry training 4 times per year.

If you would like to be trained to be part of this team, you can contact Wes Patterson by emailing wes@belfastcityvineyard.com or contact the Vineyard Centre.

Worship

Those involved in worship ministry are committed to a lifestyle of worship, as well as servant leadership and musical excellence. There are opportunities to serve children’s ministry, homegroups, adult services and special events.

If you are interested in finding out more and attending the next Worship Auditions, you can contact Harmony Smith by emailing harmony@belfastcityvineyard.com or contact the Vineyard Centre.
